Fibre Cabling

 

Fibre cabling is usually considered only for backbone connectivity but with the increasing expense of copper cabling, fibre has become a cost effective cabling medium. 

 

The different standards of design and fibre components in both cabling and backbone scenarios has established incredible versatility for corporate infrastructures. However, with scope comes the need for guidance and Teleplus Networks will use both experience and skill to ensure that any installed system will yield the benefits sought by you. Some of the considerations that we will make include:

 

• The bandwidth required

• The type of fibre

• Fibre connections

• The existing fibre installed

 

Unlike cabling systems, if increasingly popular applications such as gigabit Ethernet are to be used, distance limitations will be accrued. Consequently, different grades of fibre (for example, single-mode, optical multimode etc) will need to be decided upon in accordance with the individual situation.

 

Teleplus Networks recognizes that you seek a high return on your investment when it comes to network installations. We will subsequently qualify existing installations to ensure that any possible migration from legacy fibre is achieved. If new fibre does need to be laid then future requirements, such as bandwidth intensive 40 Gigabit Ethernet applications, will be considered in every design.
